Media: 'Don't Say Gay' events continue in Fla. despite 'Don't Say Gay' laws (yeah, about that...)

Well would you look at this — another job for Twitter Community Notes has been spotted:

What’s the occasion for this particular call for another Community Note?

I’ve seen a lot of this from the Associated Press, but now it’s spreading and the media’s either being intentionally dishonest or doesn’t realize that this spin makes absolutely no sense.

Now the New York Post is taking the approach (and this is in the “news” section written by a reporter, not an op-ed):

Townhall’s Guy Benson rightly spots the another media attempt to make something out of nothing (which is what they do best, along with trying to make nothing out of something if it’s a negative story about a Democrat):

Those kinds of stories are making a point, just not the one they seem to think.

Defiance against something that doesn’t even exist is the easiest kind of defiance:

Tens of thousands of people flocked to “Gay Days” events at Disney in defiance of the theme park’s legal row with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his so-called “Don’t Say Gay” legal crackdown.

A sea of red shirts — many emblazoned with “Say Gay” or “Don’t say DeSantis” — descended on Orlando from Saturday for the half-week of pool parties, rides and drag bingo to mark the start of Pride Month.

It was a clear stand against presidential nominee DeSantis, whose legislation and legal feud with Disney sparked LGBTQ+ rights organizations to issue travel warnings on the Sunshine State.

“Right now is not the time to run. It’s not the time to go away,” said Joseph Clark, CEO of Gay Days Inc., whose events are welcomed but not sponsored by Disney.

“It’s time to show we are here, we are queer and we aren’t going anywhere.”

The real story of course is there is no “Don’t Say Gay” law in Florida but the media just can’t let it go.

The only way those events wouldn’t be happening has been made clear.

The lib media dishonesty about all this has been off the charts.
